In addition to the latest findings regarding work ergonomics and work organisation in office space design, energy efficiency considerations played a key role. The glass roof of the building for example is made up of 300 square metres of semi-transparent thin-film solar modules from SCHOTT Solar, the output of which can cover the power requirements of many workplaces.
Water from the company's own groundwater wells is channelled through the floor of the glass atrium and thus contributes to the energy-saving air conditioning of the building. “Amiran” low-reflection facade glazing by SCHOTT enables more effective utilisation of daylight for workplace lighting. Ascotherm trench convectors are used.
