The China Shipping Agency GmbH office building on the Sandtorkai quay in Hamburg was awarded with the Architecture Prize in 2005. The complex captivates onlookers with its outer steel structure and has a supporting structure that protrudes by approx. 10 metres.

The base of the building later became part of the new levee. During construction the “ship impact” load case had to be taken into account. Convectors were installed.
